1st International Conference on AI & Society
GCLT hosted its inaugural international conference at the Pakistan Academy of Letters, examining how artificial intelligence is reshaping society — from religion, law, and ethics to culture, security, and public discourse.
The Global Centre for Learning & Training (GCLT) hosted its 1st International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & Society, a two-day academic gathering held at the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Islamabad (30–31 December, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
The conference brought together scholars, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping society — from religion, law, and ethics to culture, security, and public discourse.
A key dimension of the conference was the engagement of religious scholarship with emerging AI technologies — examining questions of ethics, moral responsibility, and how classical intellectual traditions can respond to the challenges posed by intelligent machines.
Conference Themes
The conference was structured around four thematic tracks, with Theme 4 focusing on Artificial Intelligence: Religion, Literature, Security, and Journalism — exploring AI’s implications for religious scholarship and ethics, its impact on creative writing and literary production, national and information security, and the future of journalism in an age of automated content.
